YouTube: walkabout trance

This video is one of the sets from the Walkabout Trance event held in Taipei, Taiwan, on Dec. 18, 2005. The folks from the Taipei Experimental Hypnosis Workshop (see my webpages for workshop information) held an event at the Taipei Zoo Mall in which they approached members of the public in unrehearsed cold walkups to run impromptu trance sessions.

These included real instant hypnosis inductions, trance patterns, neurolinguistic programming patterns, and experiential visualizations. The goal of the event was for the hypnotists to practice real-world trance processes within a spontaneous environment as well as an opportunity to provide members of the public with the chance to experience guided focused trance first hand in a playful way. The participants were divided into teams of three and sent out into the public area with the intention of having a certain number of positive (consensual) interactions within the time limit.

It was a very successful event and extremely enjoyable for all involved. Participants and members of the public did give permission to use video footage of the walkabout trance sessions. We are very likely to host future events of this type in Taipei.

Keine Ahnung wie die geopened haben, und ob es tatsächlich funktioniert. Aber ein guter Vorwand für viel Kino!
