This is something I considered quite congruent with my profession and

the image of an intelligent, fun guy I want to convey. I came up with

this on the spot just yesterday - so this was only field tested once

(hence it's not posted in TT). It's nigh impossible that this will work

if she thinks you're a geek - so you'll have to establish a pretty solid

frame first.

I delivered this very playfully, but paid attention to be serious enough

to not appear like I was bullshitting:

TheTruth: You know what they say about people who are attracted to

another, something like "opposites attract" or such things. Well, do you

know the concept of entropy?

HB: Bleh

TheTruth: In information theory, entropy is the measure of the amount of

information one can derive from something. If you measure an information

source and it's always the same information you get out of it, (kino

hand, drawing a flat line on it with finger) your entropy level is low.

If at some point the information changes, your entropy level will rise

(kino hand drawing a curve) and you will start to derive all kinds of

interesting things from this change. So, what I'm trying to tell you in

the rambling words of an engineer is, that in a sea of zeroes, you'd

represent a one. ;)
