Loveling, das ist aber eben meine Anforderung an die Biologie! Sie SOLL das leisten, den Erkenntnisgewinn unabhängig von kulturellen Faktoren. Ich als Philosoph habe eben einen normativen Anspruch! Du siehst das halt nur rein deskriptiv: Die Biologie ist in ihrer Wirklichkeit immer kulturell bedingt. Verstehst du diesen Unterschied?

Verstehst du jetzt, was ich an dem Begriff "Ethnobiologie" nicht mag? Das ist eben eine contradictio in adiecto.

Ja aber das wäre ja gerade Aufgabe der Biologie selber, alles "kulturell bedingte" wegzuräumen und den Blick auf das "universell gültige" freizumachen.

Ich verstehe das vollkommen, aber das hat eben mit Biologie nichts zu tun, denn der Anspruch an Biologie sollte ja gerade sein, alles über Leben und Lebewesen herauszufinden, was eben NICHT kulturell bedingt ist, sondern die - ja eben "biologische" Grundlage liefert, auf die keine Kultur verzichten kann. Deshalb ist der Begriff total irreführend.

Ok, der Begriff ist halt Müll. Wenn Biologie "ethnisch" sprich kulturell bedingt wäre, wäre sie das Gegenteil dessen, was man von ihr als Wissenschaft erwarten müsste. Aber wenn man damit einfach Anthropologie meint und das nur mit einem neuen Schlagwort besser verpacken will, dann ist ja klar was das sein soll.

Sag mal Loveling, wenn es wirklich "Ethnobiologie" gibt, dann läuft doch irgendwas falsch.
